Default News you may have missed...

A thread to post and discuss Big Brother related news we may have missed during the show's hiatus.

I only just discovered this gem:

    http://manly-daily.whereilive.com.au...court-on-dui1/

Saxon from Big Brother 3 was charged with DUI and had his licence disqualified for 12 months back in 2010.

Oh well hope he learned his lesson, Saxon the 2nd Daniel having to have a name change for the show. All the guys had the hots for Joanne at one stage or another probably got her evicted lol

I like BB3 my favourite Aussie series, and still have all the full episodes and spin off's shows saved. Also that was the first house I had inspected at Dreamworld after the show finished, the only other houses I had seen was BB6 and BB7

Ah, guess I didn't need to worry about it already being the 1st April in Australia.

The Mainly Daily published the list of all drink-drive offenders - full name, age, suburb, and penalties - in Manly Court that day. Can a newspaper get more pathetic?

The rest of the accused on yesterday’s court list were probably hoping they could hide behind the reality TV personality and avoid publicity, but it doesn’t work that way.

The list for Wednesday May 5:

    ...
    Never seen anything like it.

Trudy left a good comment underneath the story ...

Jesse Phillips and the manly court officials are obviously reincarnated from the Salem Witch Trials. They must be feeling like special citizens catching such big , important criminals. Such a shame that this is considered news worthy. As a resident of the northern beaches I feel soooooo safe now knowing the perverts and rapists have got something decent to read before they take on their next victim.

Good, I don't think I'd be able to tolerate Jess' voice for a series if she was the host.

I briefly noticed today when I was walking through the city that Gretel was on mornings. Did anyone manage to catch it? I'm not sure what she was on for, but I'm guessing something BB related?

I read recently she is involved in a new series - maybe she was being interviewed in relation to that?

    Healthy chocolate delights

Jemma Gawned with her healthy chocolate creations.
    Blainey Woodham

IF YOU want to gorge on chocolate this Easter without the guilt and self-loathing, former Big Brother reality TV star Jemma Gawned may have the answer.

The 37-year-old, who moved her business 'Naked Treaties' headquarters from Melbourne to Byron Bay late last year, hand makes "healthy" chocolates and cakes which have a cult following around Australia.

She may also be on the verge of cracking the international market with her "raw vegan, certified organic, gluten and dairy free" products attracting interest from the USA, Hong Kong and Singapore.

"We get a lot of emails from people who are relieved to find something that doesn't upset their allergies or digestion and that tastes decadent," Ms Gawned said.

She said it had taken 12 months to refine a recipe that resembled the snap texture and sheen of conventional chocolate bars while maintaining all the nutrition of the pure ingredients.

Her unique process involved low temperature tempering, a precise ratio of cacao liquor, cacao butter, cacao powder and the natural sweetener agave and "injecting a vibration of love".

Last November, Ms Gawned opened a retail outlet on Jonson St with her chocolate factory on the same site employing two full-time and three part-time staff.

"It's really touching when kids come in and are excited about eating healthily," she said.

'Naked Treaties' has produced a bunny range for Easter, but the two biggest selling products were inspired by Ms Gawned's cravings for childhood favourites.

Ms Gawned said she had been health conscious for a long time ("In the house I was fighting with Big Brother to give us decent food.").

And six years ago she adopted a raw vegan lifestyle to fix some minor health issues.

She began making healthy chocolates for her family and friends and when a Melbourne health store asked to sell them 'Naked Treaties' was born.

She'll be inundated this weekend with the Blues Fest on.
